Stefan Grimme was awarded the Van der Waals Prize for Senior Scientists (for 2025).
DyNACo congratulates him wholeheartedly!
The Kielb Lab at the University of Bonn is excited to announce the addition of a cutting-edge Raman spectrometer to their research toolkit. Led by Patrycja Kielb, the group combines advanced Raman spectroscopy, electrochemistry, and protein engineering to explore molecular structures and their redox functionalities.
This new Raman spectrometer will significantly enhance their ability to perform surface-enhanced resonance Raman spectro-electrochemistry, providing deeper insights into the structural and functional properties of molecules on electrodes.
We had stimulating discussions at our 3rd DyNACo pub regular.
We invite all RNA enthusiasts to join our exciting talk series! The 6th Rhineland RNA Club Meeting will take place in Bonn on August 1, 2024, now officially recognized as an RNA Salon by the RNA Society. Look forward to distinguished external speakers and engaging presentations from local researchers. PhDs, Postdocs, and PIs are encouraged to present their work. Bring your lab members and share the invitation! More details on registration will follow. We look forward to your participation!
Olena Zhulyn, Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, will give a talk about mRNA translation, mTOR, regeneration, signalling, and limb development in mice and axolotl.

The artist Gesine Born from the BilderInstitut has created portraits of Ada Yonath, Jennifer A. Doudna, and Emmanuelle Charpentier for us. These portraits will be placed in the “Home of DyNACo” alongside the portraits of the male heroes hanging there for many years already.
We had lively discussions at the 2nd DyNACo pub regular.
